Review: Nutrl Vodka Seltzers, Complete Lineup

Nutrl is a new line of ready-to-drink vodka seltzers flavored with real fruit juice, launched by Anheuser-Busch. There’s nothing particularly unique about the product line, but Nutrl is hoping to win over fans by offering these “unpretentious and uncomplicated,” refreshing, sessionable, low-calorie (100 calories per can), low-alcohol drinks, made with just vodka, seltzer, and real fruit juice.

Each is 4.5% abv.

Nutrl Pineapple Vodka Seltzer – This is a very refreshing drink, dangerously tempting to down after a run or a hike (or Crossfit, per the brand’s own example). It has a light and crisp taste and feel, with that tantalizing tropical accent popping nicely. The pineapple is rather subtle but not wanting, with just the right touch of fruitiness and tartness. The vodka is present, but it is one of the softest expressions of vodka I recall tasting in a ready-to-drink cocktail. The seltzer is probably the least noticeable element here, with the effervescence on the lower scale of other seltzer varieties. A

Nutrl Raspberry Vodka Seltzer – The raspberry flavor is a bit more brash on all levels and a bit of a letdown in comparison to the wonderfully balanced Pineapple. The nose and the palate of the raspberry is slightly medicinal, and although it’s not terribly sweet, it starts to wander into the likeness of fruit flavored cough syrup. I think you would have to be a die-hard raspberry fan for this to be your first pick. The vodka and effervescence is similarly pleasant as in the Pineapple. B-

Nutrl Watermelon Vodka Seltzer – The overall appeal of the Watermelon flavor lands somewhere between the Pineapple and Raspberry. The watermelon flavor reminds me of a sophisticated rendition on a Jolly Ranchers candy, but without the excess sweetness. The vodka is less noticeable, but there is an atypical bitterness to the watermelon fruit profile, which is probably attributed to the melding of the vodka with the fruit juice. Again, I appreciate how gently the vodka comes through in the blend. B+

These are terrible. If you like the taste of artificial sweetener, then you’ll love these.

My go to drink is Vodka, grapefruit juice and sparkling water. I tried Nutrl drinks because they claim that the contain vodka, juice and seltzer, sounds great, but they taste like diet sweetener. Yuck.

Does anyone know if they do contain artificial sweeteners? I looked all over the box that the cans came in and it did not list any artificial sweeteners? I was nervous because the last brand that I bought that did not list artificial sweeteners on the box to list it on the cans that were in the box. I purchased the Nutrl and it does not list artificial sweeteners ANYWHERE. But, they are the best I have tried so far.

We love all of the flavors of Nutrl. No jitters, no sleep deprivation, just refreshing. We also don’t detect any artificial sweeteners.

Is there stevia in any of the products????

Tastes like artificial sweetener. It’s there. I don’t care what anybody says. I know the difference in taste.

I agree about the artificial sweetener. I wouldn’t have bought it if I’d had any idea it was there. If this product allegedly contains no sweeteners, why does it taste sweet? Ridiculous that they try to sneak in stevia (which is what it tastes like) as a “natural flavoring.” Naturally disgusting.

Have had a very rapid heart rate each time I have had them, at an alarming rate. My sister did also. Trying to figure out what is in them to cause this.
