Review: Yuengling Flight

Review: Yuengling Flight

Yuengling Flight isn’t the first light beer from the iconic Pennsylvania-based brewery (that one came out in 1986), but it is the most in tune with the zeitgeist. Technically called FLIGHT by Yuengling, the beer hits just 95 calories and 2.6g of carbs, making for indeed a very light and low-carb experience.

Low-carb brews are rarely an elevated drinking experience, but Yuengling’s is certainly as approachable as any mainstream lager, light or no. A solid bill of malt gives it an ample breadiness, while notes of lemon peel, a grind of white pepper, and a note of dried flowers give the otherwise cracker-crisp beer a light lift.

Yuengling’s standard brews are more interesting, but if I was watching my figure, I’d drink it.

We were visiting our Daughter in York, Pa. Traveling over Harrisburg Bridge and saw your Bill board advertising “Flight”, we had to try it! A delicious light beer! Would love to share Samples with our camper Friends in Windsor, New York!

Yeungling Flight versus Light Lager are very very similar in taste. However, Light Lager is ever-so-slightly fuller in flavor. The only drawback to flight is that is is considerable too expensive for a Yeungling beer – or anything comparable in it’s class. It won’t win over MUL or similar due to it’s high price. ~ $28 per case.

Light Lager is the only Yeungling beer I absolutely DON’T like…will never drink another one. If Flight tastes like Light then I won’t waste my $ pn trying it. I love the brand’s Lager & Golden (Pilsner), will drink onward with them as well as an occasional MUL or Warsteiner, or the rarely found Tennent’s Lager .

Thank you for your spot on review.. just picked up some Flight and yes it’s very good!! And yes, I’m watching out for my girlish figure but that doesn’t mean I want to drink girly beer. Cheers!

Flight is a great alternative to Bud Light. Even better tasting but so hard to find in stores.

Just tried Flight for the first time because I’m boycotting Bud Light and have to say I’m pleasantly surprised and will buy again and while I’m at it I’m going to try the other Yuengling varieties.

I’d like you to talk about how it is a good choice for those of us who are diabetic. Low carbs and good flavor.
